Are you ready for some football? If so, Dovenet Message Network is hosting it's 4th annual "Dove Bowl championships" where "You pick the winners". The "Dove Bowl Championships" simply put, is a "you pickem contest" based on the NFL's weekly schedule. Each week, a game ticket is submitted to the Dovenet Message Network's "Sports conference" that lists each of the NFL's games for that week. All you do is simply reply to that message with your personal choices of who you think will win the game(s). The contest is played thru the entire NFL season and prizes are awarded by TBird's Radio Network for 1st thru 3rd place.
You will need a telnet client that's capable of telneting into a BBS (Bulletin Board System) that carries the Dovenet Message Network, such as TBird's BBS. -- telnet://tbirds.dyndns.org
Here are some excellent "free" telnet capable clients:
SyncTERM - A cross-platform ANSI-BBS terminal designed to connect to remote BBS's via telnet, rlogin, or SSH.
mTelnet - A telnet client for OS/2 and Windows. Z-Modem, Backscroll and a Phonebook. It's great for telneting to a BBS!
